The more the merrier!

Last week, we managed to zip off to Harrison Hot Springs for a mini vacation with the kids. Our oldest has a friend from Swift Current staying with us so there were six of us in total. We don’t mind. The more the merrier is what we always say. We enjoy Harrison because we get to do things on the lake with the kids. They love boating, tubing, water skiing, and anything else water-related. The best thing about Harrison is that it never gets really crowded. It’s surprising because it’s a beautiful place to vacation. We used to go to Osooyoos or Kelowna, but the lakes are so busy there we found somewhere else to enjoy the sun. Since it’s not as crowded at Harrison, we don’t worry so much about the kids doing their water sports. There’s enough room for everyone there to have fun. And what fun we had.

We rented a boat and cruised the lake all afternoon. The kids waterskiied and tubed as well. Then of course, there were the sea dos. The boys loved that! The boys met two girls who were vacationing there as well. They joined us for an afternoon and had a blast. As we said, the more the merrier.

Now we’re back to the grind. The oldest, Mik, has three half sisters and one half brother who have all just moved back from Manitoba. We’ve seen a lot of them lately. It’s great when all the kids and adults get together. Like this afternoon we had eight kids in the house - jumping on the trampoline, running through the lawn sprinkler, having water fights and just being kids and having fun. As I said before, the more the merrier!
