Weekend Report

If you’re ever looking for peace and quiet on a long weekend, stay in town! That’s what we did. The roads, malls, and parks weren’t as busy as they normally are. Even our phones weren’t ringing off the hook as they usually are. We attended a family friend’s wedding on Saturday night at Kirin Restaurant at Cambie and 12th Avenue. It was the perfect choice of venue because there was tons of underground parking, the atmosphere was cozy and the food was spectacular. The bride and groom are a young couple who actually eloped in Vegas last Christmas. Seeing how relaxed and happy they were that evening, eloping and then doing a big celebration dinner later seems to be the way to go!

On Monday, we surprised ourselves and walked the entire sea wall at Stanley Park with the family. It was a gorgeous day so it was great to be out enjoying the weather. That’s the best thing about long weekends -we get a chance to do things we normally wouldn’t do. We also had a chance to strike up the BBQ this weekend. All in all, it was a fantastic start to summer!
