We knew it would come sooner or later- our first day of rain after weeks of glorious sun. Actually, I don’t mind it. It gives us a break from watering the lawn plus I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything by working because the weather is drab outside anyway. Besides, rainy days make staying home feel cozier and the kids don’t mind doing their homework so much this way.

Well, we’re back into our school year routine: up at six am (that’s me, not the kids) to check my email and review appointments and schedule for the day. Then it’s time to jump into the shower and get ready before waking the kids. I make breakfast and prepare the kids’ lunches while they brush, wash and dress.
