Lazy summer days

Things have been a little quiet around the office this August. But that’s okay. It gives us time to catch up on the year. You should see the office now. We’re going through all of our files for the year to make sure that eveything is in order. We’ve been updating our client database, organizing and closing files for the year. Doing these little chores now puts us in a good position come September when things start to heat up again.

We don’t have any big holidays planned for the remainder of the summer. I think we’ll probably take an afternoon off here and there just to get the kids out of the house. I’m sure that a day at the PNE is just around the corner. Despite the crowds and sometimes unbearable heat, the kids still enjoy going for all the games and rides. I don’t blame them - I was a kid once too. One of my favourite things to do at the PNE was paint spinning. I think they still have that. That’s where they put a piece of cardboard on a table spinner and you create your own work of spun art. I think I’ll try it this year.

The must see’s and do’s at the fair for us include: the super dog show (isn’t that everyone’s?), the bumper carts, the petting zoo, and performances on the big stage. We also love the Curry in a Hurry food booth and of course, those little donuts. All that for only two hundred dollars for the day!
