Spring is here
Well, looking at the weather today, it looks like Spring is here. (But given our finicky weather, I could be wrong tomorrow!) Life and work have been busy since Spring Break wrapped up. Although our son is finished his regular hockey season, he’s now in a spring league, which is just as busy as his regular schedule. Between driving the kids to hockey, dance, and skating practice and rushing from appointment to appointment, there’s not much time for anything else. Thank goodness we have fantastic help to ease our load.
This weekend, it’s our turn to host the weekly Sunday dinner. Several years ago, it was apparent that with everyone growing older and living their own lives, my siblings and I didn’t get much visiting time together, other than on birthdays and holidays. To solve this problem, we decided to have family dinners every Sunday night. All the sisters take turns trying new recipes on a hungry group of family members. (Funny how the men are conveniently left out of the line-up.) We’ve all come to look forward to the Sunday dinners (especially when it’s not your turn to cook!) because it’s our time to catch up on the week and spend some quality time with each other. It’s definitely something brightens the end of my long work week.
