Happy Easter!
This weekend our family celebrated the holiday by attending Willingdon Church’s fantastic Easter play. It was the best one yet! The church has an amazing choir, numbering over 50 members strong. They also have a world-class orchestra, talented enough to give the VSO a run for their money! (Last Christmas, my sister was so inspired by the orchestra that her boyfriend surprised her with a violin for Christmas and she took up lessons in January!) If you’ve ever attended one of their productions, you’d agree that their plays are professional enough to be performed at the Queen Elizabeth theatre. Needless to say, we all thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was a great way kick start the weekend.
The entire weekend was full of festivities. We were fortunate to have the chance to spend time with both sides of our families. We took Phil’s parents out for Sunday brunch and then had Easter dinner with my family. What a feast we had. There was ham, turkey and all the fixings. We ate way too much and visited well into the night. Good food, fun, and quality time with family and friends - now that’s what enjoying the holidays are all about.
